SOUQ WAQIF

Souq Waqif dates back to Doha’s earliest days when residents gathered in the centre of town to buy and sell goods. It is a shopping destination renowned for its traditional architecture, old world atmosphere, extensive choice of shops and excellent restaurants.

AL KOOT FORT

Al Koot Fort is one of the old military fortresses in Doha, which served to protect the souq. Its distinguishing feature is the open-air courtyard mosque enabling the guards of the time to keep an eye on praying prisoners.

AMIRI DIWAN

The Amiri Diwan stands adjacent to the Ruler’s Palace and is the primary seat of government for Qatar. Msheireb Downtown Doha extends the administrative scale of the Amiri Diwan with the Diwan Annexe.

QATAR NATIONAL ARCHIVE

The Qatar National Archive, reminiscent of the traditional fortified tower, is a landmark that houses the nation’s heritage.

AMIRI GUARD BUILDING

This building is the headquarters of the Amiri Guard, the Ruler’s personal guards.

DIWAN ANNEXE

The Diwan Annexe is the administrative headquarters of Qatar. It is surrounded by liwan balconies and is based on the traditional diwania – the small palace.

Four regenerated and renovated traditional courtyard houses, which have been transformed into the Msheireb Museums.

RADWANI HOUSE

Radwani House provides visitors an insight into how family life evolved in Qatar over the years. The house showcases not only the manner in which it changed over time, but also how domestic family life was transformed in Doha.

COMPANY HOUSE

This museum tells the story of the pioneering Qatari petroleum industry workers and their families, who helped transform Qatar into a modern society. Witness first-hand accounts of the men who laboured not just to provide for their families but also to lay the foundations for their emerging nation.

BIN JELMOOD HOUSE

The overarching ambition of Bin Jelmood House is to raise awareness and play a pivotal role in the global abolition of human exploitation. The house also showcases and pays tribute to human perseverance and acknowledges the cumulative social, cultural and economic contribution of formerly enslaved people to the development of human civilisations.

MOHAMMAD BIN JASSIM HOUSE

Mohammed Bin Jassim House demonstrates Qatar’s challenge to strike a balance between the sophisticated requirements of contemporary living and the responsibility to preserve local heritage and culture.

MSHEIREB PRAYER GROUND

The Msheireb Prayer Ground is a key restoration project in the development. Hailing back to the city’s formative days, the Msheireb Prayer Ground is a significant cultural and religious site for the nation.

SIKKAT WADI MSHEIREB

Sikkat Wadi Msheireb is a pedestrian-only shopping street running through the project from Souq Waqif to Al Kahraba Street. it is a true landmark destination within Doha, offering picturesque street-side restaurants, live performance areas, and a mix of niche fashion boutiques.

RETAIL GALLERIA

The Gallaria provides many shopping opportunities with a supermarket, cinema and edutainment zone for children.

CULTURAL FORUM

The Cultural Forum provides a venue for the creative community, including two art house cinemas and a performing arts theatre, public art exhibitions and events in dance, music and fine arts. Retail offerings and a rooftop restaurant with breathtaking views will characterise the Cultural Forum.

ABDULLAH BIN THANI STREET

One of the key arterial streets located in the centre of the project running from north to south. The street allows for easy access to the project, offering all from pedestrianised shopping and urban residences, to commercial offices.

BARAHAT MSHEIREB

Barahat Msheireb is the heart of Msheireb Downtown. It includes niche retail and al fresco, casual and fine dining options – all anchored by the Cultural Forum to the east and the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Hotel to the west.

DEPARTMENT STORE

The Department Store houses some of the world’s finest high-end boutiques and flagship stores. It features climate-controlled courtyard with an outdoor café.

AL KAHRABA STREET

Al Kahraba Street, Arabic for electricity, is one of the oldest and most important parts of old Doha – the first street to get electricity in Qatar, making it a true reflection of Msheireb’s rising commercial importance.
