Doha, Qatar, 13 February 2023: Msheireb Downtown Doha will celebrate National Sports Day with a wide range of sports, fitness, and fun activities that suit all ages
These events support Qatar’s efforts to spread sports culture and encourage individuals to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle.
The activations will take place through the vibrant streets of the city during the whole day. It will start with a heart-pumping walk or run between 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a day of outdoor sports activities at Sikkat Wadi Msheireb.
The activations in Sikkat Al Wadi consist of several activities distributed along the street in eight different stations including football, basketball, table tennis, badminton, and gym classes, in addition to videogames and babyfoot challenges.
Children will have dedicated spaces to get engaged with face painting and balloon twisting arts.
For those looking to elevate their well-being, outdoor fitness classes by Zulal Wellness Resort will meet their needs with Tai Chi sessions at 10:00 AM, Pilates at 1:00 PM and a relaxing session of Yoga at 3:00 PM. They can also challenge themselves with outdoor and indoor sports classes by CYQLONE with exclusive women’s only classes between 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and everyone else after that.
