Doha, Qatar (31 October 2022) – Msheireb Properties today announced the list of events and activations that Msheireb Downtown Doha will host during the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022.

This was announced at a press conference held at Al Mass Grand Ballroom at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, by Dr Hafez Ali Ali, Director of Marketing and Communication and Maryam Al Jassem, Manager of PR and Communication at Msheireb Properties, and attended by representatives of partners, influencers and members of media.

The calendar includes interactive and immersive experiences for the fans to enjoy with activations covering sports, dining, culture and arts, entertainment, wellness, and hospitality to appeal to the interests of all visitors. The various events organized with several partners aim to engage families and guests from all cultural backgrounds and bring them together as the nation celebrates the World Cup.

Msheireb Downtown Doha will feature three zones for fans and media coming from all over the world to enjoy the games and celebrate together. Each zone will have its own engaging activities and exhibitions honoring various artists and athletes. In addition to the three main zones, various brand installations will be held throughout Msheireb Downtown.

The first zone is the Barahat Zone, which will be the hub for watching the matches on a giant screen or in special pods which promote privacy while fostering social interaction. A key event is the Forever Valentino Exhibition which pays homage to Valentino Garavani at Maison Valentino, and it is the largest exhibition to date in his honor in the Middle East.

The second zone is the Heritage Zone where visitors can experience various activities and explore the essence of authentic Qatari heritage. Located at the company house at Msheireb Museums, Al Annabi Village is the main celebration area for Qatar national team where visitors can cheer for the team. The Universo Olivetti – Italian Exhibition is at Mohamed bin Jassem house, and the Frida Kahlo Immersive art Exhibition is at the lower gallery of Bin Jelmood House, are other activations.

The third zone is the Sikka Zone with selfie-worthy spots covering art exhibitions and cinematic works. It includes interactive zones where fans can play games and relax at cafes and restaurants. Broadcast and media facilities are also available for journalists and content creators. The activities and facilities in Zone 3 Al Sikka International, Conmebol Tree of Dreams, Media Hub to support content creators, different social media and digital platforms, and Mawater Warehouse Exhibition.

In addition, the Sikka Zone embraces Intaj – Film, Television, and Theatre Exhibition that highlights the history of cinema, film making and theatre, Quest Gaming District ,  Art Exhibition, Homegrown local products market, The Hangout, and Onside Doha which is a pop-up cinema space where visitors can watch a series of “Doha Outside” showcasing stories and films.

The zone also features the Host Country Media Center which provides broadcast and media facilities for 2,000 journalists including broadcasting stations, live games viewing stations, conference rooms and service centers.

The Embassy of Italy in Doha in collaboration with Msheireb Museums is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition “Universo Olivetti: Community as a Concrete Utopia” in Doha, where it will be on display from October 6^th , 2022 to January 7^th, 2023 in the Temporary Gallery of Mohammed Bin Jassim House, Msheireb.

Curated by the Museum of Arts of the XXI century of Rome (MAXXI) and the Adriano Olivetti Foundation, the exhibition features a series of objects and archive materials to illustrate the ethical depth and great modernity of the Italian entrepreneur and visionary, the mind behind of one of the world leading technology companies of the 1900.

Divided into four sections (City and Politics, Factory, Culture and Image, Society), “Universo Olivetti” deals with Olivetti’s vision in all its aspects, dimensions and complexity. Through a gallery of graphics, archival documents, reproductions and photographic reinterpretations, the exhibition shows the pressing relevance of the figure of Adriano Olivetti, as well as the unique and innovative business model created in his city, Ivrea, which has recently been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a “model industrial city of the XX century”.

The exhibition platform will allow the public of Doha, including international fans visiting Qatar for the FIFA World Cup, to access the major themes revolving around Olivetti’s enterprise. From the industrial project to its environment, cultural services, welfare, social responsibility and urban planning, the exhibition draws a model of entrepreneurial action that still today appears, from every point of view, avant-garde and exemplary for future generations.

“We are particularly proud to host “Universo Olivetti” here in Doha” said Ambassador Alessandro Prunas. “The exhibition offers a unique overview on the life and thinking of the visionary entrepreneur Adriano Olivetti, whose message on the social impact of industries is still of great importance nowadays”. “The framework of Msheireb fits perfectly with the main topic of the retrospective, as it is an “ideal city” of its own, whose concept and architecture creates a dialogue with the innovative experiment of the city of Ivrea” he concluded.

Doha, Qatar, 5 October 2022:  As part of Doha Health Care Week 2022, an initiative of the Qatar Foundation WISH 2022 Summit, Zulal Wellness Resort by Msheireb Properties is organising a series of healthcare and nutrition activations.

To be held at Multaqa Multipurpose Student Center in the Education City, the activations aim to provide unique wellness experiences for students and guests, offering them stress relief sessions, as well as Postural Exercises to nourish their mental and physical health.

From Oct. 4 to 6, experts from Zulal will lead the sessions from morning until evening. The activities include Morning Yoga, Postural and Energizing Exercises, a talk titled “Pranayama Breathing Gut as your second brain”, and a Singing Bowl Ritual.

In addition, the Wellness lounge will welcome visitors for a holistic experience with a healing atmosphere featuring a Zulal real experience with a central water feature creating white noise, a lounge seating, an interactive wellness cuisine counter, and wellness works counter.

The Zulal Exhibition showcases the resort’s services and facilities, with a dedicated Consultation Room that offers Individual one-on-one sitting consultations, in addition to private treatment venues for personalized treatment.

Students and the public can benefit these wide range of services during their visit to the Multaqa Multipurpose Student Center in the Education City.

Doha, Qatar, 3 October 2022: As part of Doha Health Care Week 2022, an initiative of the Qatar Foundation WISH 2022 Summit, Msheireb Downtown Doha hosted several activations that encourage people to adopt a healthy lifestyle and conduct frequent medical check-ups.

The activities highlight the commitment of Msheireb Properties to secure the best health of all its employees and visitors and facilitate the safe and seamless movement of pedestrian across the city.

The leading sustainable and smart city hosted the activities for the staff of Msheireb Properties and the public, including a health check drive for all Msheireb Properties employees by Hamad Medical corporation. The check-up included blood pressure and blood sugar monitoring, followed by a consultation with a physician.

In collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent, a blood donation campaign was also held to support HMC to respond to emergencies on time. The campaign received huge response with several employees of Msheireb Properties taking part.
